Venice is associated with romance, architecture and gondolas. This ancient city of Italy was originally built on 100 small islands in the Adriatic Sea. Also known as the floating city, it is famous for its various historic and artistic attractions, some holding special significance. One of them is the Piazza San Marco (St. Mark’s Square) that holds important spots like the glorious St. Mark’s Basilica, the bell tower, and the Doge’s Palace — the Square is the perfect location to gaze at Venetian Renaissance structure and capture amazing shots. After exploring the Square, take a vaporetto (waterbus) along the Grand Canal to see the Bridge of Sighs that connects Doge’s Palace to the age-old prisons. The bridge was named by Lord Byron suggesting that the prisoners would sigh at their last view of Venice before imprisonment. Venice is a sight for your eyes and ears!
